「BAPE® BLACK」が、初のレザーフットウェアでコラボレーション。記念すべき初のジョイント作品は、日本が誇る職人的フットウェアブランド「Foot the coacher」。
本コラボレーションは2020年11月21日に発売決定。
BAPE® BLACK has linked up with artisanal Japanese footwear label “foot the coacher” to release their first leather footwear collaboration on 21st November.
foot the coacherは、2000年にシューズデザイナー竹ヶ原敏之介氏によって設立。
イギリスで培った靴の仕立てのノウハウを活かし、伝統的なコードウェイナーの技術とファッションの要素を見事に融合させ、履き心地とスタイルを両立させたフットウェアを生み出しています。
常に品質を追求し、革新的なデザインを追求する彼の姿勢は、「BAPE® BLACK」のブランド理念にも通じるものがあり、今回のコラボレーションに至りました。
foot the coacher was established in 2000 by Japanese shoe designer Toshinosuke Takegahara. Leveraging his footwear tailoring expertise earned in England, Toshinosuke masterfully weaves together traditional cordwainer techniques and fashion elements to forge footwear that encompass comfort and style. His ceaseless pursuit of quality and innovative designs echoes BAPE BLACK’s brand principles, which led the two brands to team up for this collaboration.
本コラボレーションでは、「foot the coacher」の"Chaos Mountain Boots"をブループリントと、「BAPE® BLACK」のシグネチャーである"NEON CAMO"のエンボス加工をヒールとバンプに施し、すべてのシルバーパーツを「BAPE® BLACK」のスターリングシルバー925を採用「BAPE® BLACK」のラグジュアリーながらもストリートなテイストと「foot the coacher」の卓越したフットウェアのデザイン性が相まみえることでエレガントな仕上がりとなっています。
また、エンボス加工を施したキャメルレザーとイタリア製のVibram®ソールを使用し、耐久性と実用性を兼ね備え、機能性にも妥協を許さない洗練されたコラボレーションフットウェアに完成しています。
The collaboration selected foot the coacher’s “Chaos Mountain Boots” as its blueprint and revamped the design by adding BAPE BLACK’s signature “neon camo” embossing to the shoe vamp and heels, as well as replacing all metallic components with BAPE BLACK’s 925 Sterling Silver for an elegant finish. Crafted with embossed camel leather and Italy’s Vibram® sole, this sophisticated collaboration of footwear offers both durability and functionality.
本コラボレーションは2020年11月21日に一部店舗にて数量限定で発売。
BAPE® BLACK X foot the coacher leather footwear will be available at selected stores on 21st November.
